"because you mentioned on your (about page), that you are interested in AI-Based IOS apps, and here you are. making a simple time management app. its not AI at all"
Actually you are right, but i was enthusiast to make an AI-based App the first days i created this blog. and you can check out my fourth post on the app idea
But after while, i found that i have a compelling reasons not to start with AI-based App
These are the reasons not to think that "i changed my main goal"?
- I am not expert in software construction, I learn and read books then apply what i read on the app developing and by sharing what i have learnt in this blog.
- I need to make a simple App shipment to the Appstore, so not to take too much risk on my first App submission
- An AI based-project take much time on research and implementation, so combined with the new experience of "complete software construction" make it more complex.
- I like to start simple then make the things more complex by time, to move linearly with my learning curve
- Currently i am independent IOS developer, and need quick support to continue my work. so digging in an AI-based project will take (as i mentioned) much energy and time. "you know i am a little bit money-centric :)"
- Actually, i used to manage my time using this app concepts in a desktop version. so i decided to make an IOS version; to make the time management more portable on mobile devices.
And guess what, i made a fast research on this app idea on the Appstore, and i did not find any app do the same thing. except for a popular app called 30/30, that did great work so far. however he did not take it to the next level.
Examples on that
- the app does not record the user activities, to make a log of his day
- no any type of feedback, the user don't know how much time spent on which activity
- the interface design although its attractive, is not a simple to get familiar with it
So i decided to fill these gabs and in the same time make something of value. so i gain software construction experience, and then proceeds to the AI-Based apps.
i hope that i conveyed the whole picture, and off course any suggestions or advises are welcome.
Salam,
M.Aleem
